A prescription may be transmitted electronically with the electronic signature and electronic instructions of the prescriber, and shall be transmitted directly from the prescriber to the pharmacy designated by the patient without alteration of the prescription information, except that third-party intermediaries may act as conduits to route the prescription from the prescriber to the pharmacy. Forms annotated with the initials RA are repeat authorisation forms.The name of any controlled substance may not be preprinted on any prescription forms at any time prior to the prescription being prepared and executed for presentation to the patient or the patient's agent.That includes, but is not limited to, typing prescriptions in anticipation of their need and/or using a rubber stamp or similar means to accomplish the same end.
