Comcast cable box guide not updating dating minnesota personals picture services
With the inevitable march of technology, the 4K offerings from Comcast's Xfinity cable service for your 4K Ultra HD TV continue to increase, and they're available in all markets where Comcast has a license to operate.
The XG1v4 also has one HDMI input; however, it is not active, so you can't use it as a pass-through connection for additional HDMI devices.
As far as I know Comcast uses Gemstar's i Guide.
BTW, if I understand correctly the i Guide utilizes 2 way communication channel which means (theoretically) that statistical data can be collected.
This has resulted in both puzzlement and anger among some Comcast subscribers, who would like this feature enabled for its designed purpose.
Ever since 4K Ultra HD TVs were introduced, availability and sales have increased steadily, with a corresponding trend toward affordable pricing.
I assume they aren't doing this out of the goodness of their heart.
They did nerf the interface a little bit last summer and the remote dvr isn't functional in every area yet but it is nice to be able to watch all your channels on your phone or i Pad and record 5 shows at once.
These are just elaborations, but I guess whatever the reasons are, a presence of an alternative to Comcast capable of taking over all the services without too much troubles would definetely improve the end user situation. They said that Gemstar is experiencing problems delivering guide data through cable networks all over US (not just Comcast). They are aware of the problem and working on the solution. I have since replaced my video card with an ATI Radeon 700X.
I did not get a firm answer to the question "when ? Well, there's always hand editing the lineup list for me.. That reset messed it up and I haven't fixed the outer channels yet. Checked the Gemstar On-Screen guide again a few days back. The VGA worked fine and even the DVI is passible on some stations. The picture is smoother, but the Gemstar guide still will not load. I continue to get an error message which reads: Failed to connect to the server.
The local affiliates for NBC and CVS showed a status code of “S0a00.” The “fix” was to unplug the HD DVR box and plug it back in. The research about not being able to buy a cable box, lead me to do quite a bit of research… In the next couple of weeks, I will likely expand on this in greater detail.
Essentially this is rebooting the operating system.
